The “Co-Creative Hub for Fostering a Green Job Market through Gastronomy Geopolitics” has established the Regional Co-Creation Vision Promotion Office on the third floor of the Environmental Research Promotion Center in the main building of the Graduate School of Environmental Studies at Tohoku University’s Aobayama New Campus, and operates the base from there.

『 SHOKU Lab 』

As a place for exchange and outreach, we opened SHOKU Lab on the first floor of the main building of the Graduate School of Environmental Studies at Tohoku University. We have introduced shared kitchen facilities and use the space for study sessions on food and the environment, as well as for symposia, workshops, etc.

『 Shima Satellite 』

Opened in May 2023 in Shima City, Mie Prefecture, the Shima Satellite serves as a research base for coastal environmental studies, with office functions plus space for meetings, lectures, and workshops. It also supports various project-related activities and provides a venue for high school student initiatives.

『 AAG Lab (Ag Lab) 』

In Shima City, Mie Prefecture, at the picnic area of the Shima Spain Village theme park, we opened the Ag Lab “AAG Lab (Aqua and Agriculture Garden Lab)”, an exchange space centered around the circulatory cultivation system known as “aquaponics.” We conduct workshops there as a community space where people gather and learn from various perspectives such as food, environment, education, and tourism. We also offer guided tour programs for students, such as those on school trips, by reservation.

『 Nobiruno Lab 』

At Kiboccha, an experiential lodging facility for learning about disaster prevention that utilizes the former Nobiru Elementary School in Higashi-Matsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture, we opened “Nobiruno Lab” and conduct various courses and workshops there.We are creating an edible garden primarily made up of vegetables, herbs, and other edible plants, where we can explore food options adapted to climate change.
